Keith Norden, CEcD
Senior Vice President, Special Marketing Initiatives and Research

Mr. Norden joined the Hampton Roads Economic Development Alliance in January 1997. He is responsible for coordinating the international business development efforts of the Alliance and also takes an active role in domestic business recruitment.

Prior to joining HREDA, Mr. Norden served as National Project Manager with the Virginia Economic Development Partnership in Richmond. At the Partnership, he marketed all regions of Virginia to businesses throughout the U.S. Major recruitment successes included R. R. Donnelly & Sons' $102 million, state of the art printing facility in Roanoke County, Boise Cascade Office Products in Bristol, and Ralston Purina/Golden Cat Division's manufacturing plant in King William County. Previously, Mr. Norden was Marketing Manager with the Virginia Peninsula Economic Development Council, where he helped to recruit such companies as United Parcel Service/APAC and MCI Worldcom - both of which located in Newport News - and Gateway Computers, which opened a facility in Hampton.

Mr. Norden received a B.S. in Business Management and Marketing from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia. He also undertook graduate coursework in business at New York University.

In 1993, Mr. Norden graduated from the Economic Development Institute at the University of Oklahoma. In 1996, he received the professional designation of Certified Economic Developer (CED).
