Military
Our sergeants and lieutenants are eager to become your next captains of industry.
When some people think of Virginia, they think of history; and rightly so. But say “Hampton Roads” to most people and they’ll think about the huge military and governmental presence here, in which tens of thousands of men and women use the most advanced equipment and training anywhere.
Every branch of the military has a presence in Hampton Roads, and the region’s number of active-duty personnel is second only to the Pentagon.
Each year approximately 13,000 highly trained, motivated, and disciplined personnel transition from active duty to the civilian workforce. Because our area has so much to offer, many of these people prefer to stay in the area and are available for private sector employment. In addition, there are over 30,000 military spouses in the area available for employment. So no matter what your staffing needs are, when you locate in Hampton Roads, you will have a huge talent pool from which to recruit.
